2012 Target – First Update

My longest run has increased to 14km thanks to participation in one of the events comprising the Great Ocean Road Marathon weekend. I’ve never been before but it was no secret as there were 3800 finishers over four events. Steve Moneghetti completed 3 of the 4, wimping out of the 45km run. At least two other Melbourne Marathon Spartans club committee members were there: Jay Fleming completed the marathon despite an injured hamstring, Graeme Lay was also a finisher in …

2012 Melbourne Marathon Entries Open

The 2012 Melbourne Marathon website is now open. The finish is once again at the MCG, giving entrants the chance to follow the footsteps of Olympians, AFL footballers and Test cricketers.
As usual, there is an early bird discount. However, there is no limit to the marathon field so we should be able to see last year’s record number of finishers beaten.
